From the recording Providence
Lyrics
Waiting for a light to brighten the blackened path before me
Asking for a miracle, an underserving request soaked in tears
Years of life through sin and sorrow have been wasted
Wearing the burdens of my soul like a heavy coat of fear
“Deny the evil of which causeth thy suffering. Let go the hate that binds thy heart and soul, and surrender unto the Lord, thy God.”
I surrender, not in vain,
This prosthetic life of shame
To cultivate my faith
In the name of Jesus
Pray, Oh Father, give us strength
And wisdom that we find
The courage in us all
To rise before The Fall
Dark shadows overcast the day in spite of seasons
Poison consumed into my veins; internal suffering
Psycho-manipulation destroying all my reason
It’s time to take control of my soul, and let the evil go
“Tear down the wall of immorality, and turn from thy wicked ways. Cast aside the darkness, and walk in the light of the Lord.”
I surrender, not in vain,
This prosthetic life of shame
To cultivate my faith
In the name of Jesus
Pray, Oh Father, give us strength
And wisdom that we find
The courage in us all
To rise before The Fall
At best, we all enjoy our time with family and friends before this all ends, and a new life begins
I surrender, not in vain,
This prosthetic life of shame
To cultivate my faith
In the name of Jesus
Pray, Oh Father, give us strength
And wisdom that we find
The courage in us all
To rise before The Fall
