Lyrics

Part 1: Love

In still and silence I wait and wonder where the time has gone.
Trying to think of all the moments that we shared in our beautiful life, like the warm summer sun.

So, I write to tell you all the ways I love you; more than anything or anyone could ever comprehend.
Without you, all my days are like whispers in the wind.

I close my eyes wishing you were near. What kind of life can be lived without you here?
There was no closure in telling you goodbye, and when I think about that moment I break down and cry.

So, I write to tell you all the ways I love you; more than anything or anyone could ever comprehend.
Without you, all my days are like whispers in the wind.

Part 2: Aggression

“What do you mean?”

“You know exactly what I mean.”

“I’m sick and tired of this!”

“Sick of what? I don’t even know what you’re talking about…”

“I’m talking about how no matter what it is you’re  always right and I’m always in the wrong. And every single time we fight it’s about the same thing. You expect me to change who I am, but you’re not willing to change. Maybe the problem isn’t me at all. Maybe it’s you?”

“Me? You’re the one who always seems to have a problem with me!”

“I can’t even believe we’re having this conversation. It’s absurd.”

“It is absurd, and I’m gonna tell you right now that I can’t do this anymore. I can’t walk around pretending that everything is ok when it’s not. This is not ok!”

“Well you said it not me so where do we go from here?”

“I don’t know yet, but I’m not gonna live like this anymore. I can’t function in a home where our only conversation’s become toxic.”

“So you’ll just take the easy way out and leave? That’s just perfect!

“You think this is the easy way? This is the very hardest way, but we no longer show each other love and it is breaking me. I need to leave before I lose myself.”

“Fine! Then go!”

Part 3: Regret

I’ve seen the fallout of unfriendly altercations.
Holding grudges, and spitting accusations.

We fight then wait for apologies. Intentions, right or wrong, will never heal our pain.
We fall in wake of regret and shame.

Ripping hearts out while stroking bloated egos.
Indignation as the tempers blow.

We fight the wait for apologies. Intentions, right or wrong, will never heal our pain.
We fall in wake of contentious words we say; an emotional state of bitterness and rage. Breaking under strain, and not accepting blame.

Part 4: Forgiveness

“Please don’t go. I’m sorry I lost my temper. I don’t want to lose you.”

I’m sorry for the way I spoke to you today.
Forgive me once again for all the words I say.
Surrender all the shame, the sorrow, and the pain.
And give a little grace. Don’t throw it all away.

I’m sorry for the way I spoke to you today.
Forgive me once again for all the words I say.
Surrender all the shame, the sorrow, and the pain.
And give a little grace. Don’t throw it all away.

“I don’t want to fight anymore. I know I’m the one that started it. It’s my fault. I just wanted to tell you that I’m sorry, and I love you.”

“I’m sorry as well. I love you.”

Part 5: Reconciliation
(Instrumental)

“Trials and Tribulations - This is a metal album through and through, loaded with thick waves of distortion, drums that land like war hammers, and bass that shakes the ground beneath it. At the center, Canady’s vocal performance cuts through with precision and authority.”
